Road Race 21K Challenge Kalampaka-Trikala, Thanassis Stamopoulos
One of the fastest in Europe
Every March, Trikala Running Club, organizes the Road Race 21K Challenge Kalampaka-Trikala, Thanassis Stamopoulos. The route starts from the town of Kalampaka, which is situated at the foot of fabulous Meteora, which are monument of World Natural Heritage by UNESCO and finishes in the central square of Trikala city.
The nature of the route, with approximately 100 total downward slope throughout its length, ranks as one of the fastest in Europe, with performance record 1:05:41.
